Are you passionate about materials and want to work on structure-property relations? Join our collaborative initiative on ceramic composite materials that can withstand extreme conditions, and understand what makes these materials so strong!

You will:

• Characterise structure, dynamics and the defect chemistryof wall materials
• Use advanced characterization techniques including solid-state NMR spectrsocopy, diffraction and modelling
• Participate in site visits to expose the composites to high energy radiation and explore the structural stability in situ 
• Work in a strong interdisciplinary team of the fusion groups at the University of Bayreuth and in Bavaria
